Evaporative condenser
Evaporative condenser – (hot vapour cooler, ammonia condenser, ammonia vapour cooler, irrigation heat exchanger, refrigerant condenser)
Evaporative condensers provide heat removal for many types of systems.
Evaporative condensers are used to provide lower condensing temperatures and compressor energy savings of up to 30% compared to air-cooled systems.
The condensed refrigerant gas is circulated under pressure through a condensing coil, which is continuously wetted externally with water from the recycled water system. Air is blown or sucked over the coil, causing a small portion of the recycled water to evaporate. The evaporation cools the refrigerant in the coil, causing it to condense.
