How to choose a heat exchanger for cooling

If water consumption is small, a brazed heat exchanger will also be relevant. However, if freon is used as heating agent, it will be necessary to choose only from brazed or welded heat exchangers, because gasketed ones should not be used with hazardous or toxic fluids, such as freon. At the same time, if we consider wort cooling in a plate heat exchanger, we can say with confidence – gasketed ones will be an excellent choice. Tube, welded and brazed heat exchangers will also be relevant in cases where the working fluids have high pressures. Air coolers are suitable for the purposes where air is a cooling agent.
